Not only is Salvisoul cookbook the first Salvadoran traditionally published book in the U.S. , but it also tells the stories of the Salvi immigrant women behind the recipes shared. I have been following Karla’s journey for the past 8+ years and her work has inspired my own personal healing journey. As the daughter of a Salvadoran immigrant father, Salvisoul has helped me better understand my roots and helped me start to heal the estranged parts of my identity.

He estado siguiendo la carrera de Karla durante los últimos 8 años y su trabajo ha inspirado mi propio viaje de sanación personal. Como hija de un padre inmigrante salvadoreño, Salvisoul me ha ayudado a comprender mejor mis raíces y a empezar a sanar las partes de mi identidad que se habían perdido.
